Head Start State Collaboration DirectorJeanne Dickhausen was appointed as the Head Start State Collaboration Director in February 2013. Head Start and Early Head Start work with you to connect your family to early education, health and community services that support the learning and development of your child, and family well-being. The HSSCO director serves as liaison among these partners. With MDE, the Minnesota Head Start Association and the Region V Administration for Children and Families are key partners in setting and implementing priorities and direction for the HSSCO. Program administration includes oversight of state funding for Head Start, Minnesota’s Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program, School Readiness program, and Early Childhood Screening program, as well as Early Childhood Special Education Part B 619 and Part C Early Intervention Services. The Minnesota Head Start State Collaboration Office (HSSCO) is located at the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), Early Learning Services Division. As a Head Start enrolled child, they will have access to FREE dental, FREE medical, FREE.
